From May 20 to 22, 2026, the 9th Green Factory Plant Summit was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.
As a key annual event driving industrial energy efficiency and decarbonization, this year's summit surpassed 20,000 participants for the first time, bringing together over 300 leading experts and nearly 200 exhibitors. Seemtek showcased its EC fan retrofit solutions for AHUs and cooling towers at the event, demonstrating the core value of EC fan technology in industrial energy savings and carbon reduction through hands-on product demonstrations and solid energy-saving data.

Live Demonstrations Draw a Crowd: AHU Fan Comparison Test and Cooling Tower Fan Wall
At the exhibition, Seemtek set up an intuitive live demonstration platform that became a major attraction.

● AHU Retrofit: From Traditional Belt-Driven Fan to EC Fan Wall. Traditional belt-driven fans in AHU and MAU systems have long suffered from two major pain points: high energy consumption and frequent maintenance. To address this, we introduced an EC fan wall retrofit solution. Taking a required airflow of 4,000 CFM as an example:
◆ Traditional belt-driven fan power consumption: 3.8 kW
◆ After retrofit to EC fan wall: power consumption drops to 1.37 kW
◆ Energy savings: 64%
In addition, the original system requires regular replacement of wear parts such as belts and bearings, resulting in high maintenance workloads. The EC fan wall, however, features a maintenancefree design, significantly reducing operating and maintenance costs while improving system stability and ease of use.
● Cooling Tower Fan Wall Solution. Traditional cooling towers typically use a single highpower beltdriven fan, which suffers from high transmission losses, poor partialload efficiency, and high maintenance costs. Our EC fan wall uses multiple EC fans operating in parallel – a "divide and conquer" approach that provides flexible control. Multiple fans offer builtin redundancy: if one fan fails, the others continue to operate, so overall system performance is not affected. Together with intelligent adaptive PID control, the system precisely matches output to realtime load, avoiding unnecessary energy consumption. Actual application data shows energy savings of 60%–70% after the retrofit. Thanks to the directdrive construction and high protection rating, the system is truly maintenancefree. In addition, the retrofit period can be shortened by more than 60%, delivering triple benefits: energy savings, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.

Keynote Speech: Verifiable Energy Savings Resonate Strongly
On May 22, at the Cleanroom Environmental Control and Energy Saving Technology Exchange (Cleanroom Quality and Efficiency Improvement track), Mr. Zhu Chunbo from our company delivered a keynote speech titled "Verifiable EnergySaving Practices for AHU and Cooling Tower EC Fan Retrofits."
In his speech, he highlighted the value of "verifiability" in energysaving retrofits – from preretrofit energy consumption testing to continuous data tracking after the EC fan wall is installed – quantifying savings throughout the entire process. He also shared practical advantages of EC fans, including wide speed range, intelligent control, and fast modular retrofitting, while emphasizing that attention to operational details is key to unlocking further energysaving potential. The speech drew significant interest from experts and facility owners in cleanroom industries such as electronics manufacturing and biopharmaceuticals, sparking lively onsite discussions.

Technical Advantages Leading the Way in Industrial Energy Efficiency
EC fans have become the preferred solution for AHU and cooling tower energy retrofits because of the following core technical advantages:
● High energy efficiency: EC motors achieve over 90% efficiency across their full load range, and the complete solution can help enterprises save 60%–70% on energy.
● Demandbased output: The factorypreconfigured control system supports stepless speed regulation and coordinated operation, precisely matching realtime load and avoiding unnecessary energy use.
● Intelligent control: The EC fan wall is designed as an integrated system with a preconfigured controller. No external VFD is required. It supports stepless speed regulation and coordinated operation, and can be easily connected to an EMS (Energy Management System) for realtime data monitoring.
● Maintenancefree operation: The directdrive construction completely eliminates wear parts such as belts and pulleys. No tensioning, lubrication, or alignment is needed – truly "fit and forget."
● Modular and easy to deploy: The modular design is compact and can be disassembled for transport. A small team can carry the modules into the equipment room and complete assembly on site. The retrofit period can be shortened by more than 60%.
Outlook: From Components to Systems, from Energy Saving to Low Carbon
In the wave of green factory development, facility owners are placing greater emphasis than ever on energy saving and low carbon. As a fan manufacturer, we understand deeply that improving the efficiency of a single product is only the starting point – the real value lies in the ability to deliver complete, systemlevel solutions.
Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on systemlevel energy retrofits, building a full chain of capabilities that covers: data collection → automatic selection → fan matching → intelligent control → system commissioning. Whether in China or overseas markets, our core logic remains unchanged – we go where our customers' pain points are and provide the solutions. The essence of differentiation is respect for, and responsiveness to, customer value.

Seemtek is committed to providing efficient, reliable EC fan energysaving solutions for industrial manufacturing. Our presence at the 9th Green Factory Plant Summit not only showcased our technical achievements in AHU and cooling tower energy retrofits but also demonstrated our strong determination to support global industrial decarbonization and empower green, highquality manufacturing development.
In the future, Seemtek will continue to deepen EC fan technology innovation, promote more "visible and verifiable" energysaving practices, and work with industry partners to move toward a netzero future.
